The presentation of John Galliano's namesake line closed to the somewhat poignant music of Norwegian Recycling's "Viva La Viral," a mashup of several pop songs set to the music of Coldplay's "Viva La Vida," which many fashion blogs have found it clever to point out opens with the line, "I used to rule the world." The models in the show walked for free after LVMH initially decided to cancel it, according to Olivier Zahm, including superstars Magdalena Frackowiak and Karlie Kloss, who has long been a Galliano favorite and the face of Dior's ad campaigns. The models names are not listed in the collection slideshows on Style.com, Vogue.com or WWD.com--perhaps an irrelevant detail, but a rarity in the coverage of a major designer. There has been no announcement regarding the future of the John Galliano line, though of course he has been dismissed from his position at Dior.
