The charming thing about that old cliché that the fashion world is just like high school, with the designers and assorted fashionistas as the new popular kids, is that many of those who were likely not the toast of the playground back in the day--even victims of bullying, perhaps--now mingle with and dress the global elite. They have become, if you will, the toast of the Tuileries - a similar but different kind of playground. I imagine Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy to be a perfect example of that; outcast turned ultimate cool kid. (Certainly that is the whole idea behind (his friends) the Misshapes.)
I always love to check out style.com's pictures of the front row during Fashion Week, and it seems Riccardo had the entire cool table of the fashion cafeteria in attendance - and a great show!
