Always in Vogue

There's little chicer in my mind than standing up for worthy causes, women's rights always chief among them. January Vogue features the incomparable Meryl Streep on the cover and includes the story of her work as the chief spokesperson for the effort to create a National Women's History Museum in Washington, D.C.  Annie Liebovitz captured the core committee of powerhouse American women behind the effort in inspiring images taken in front of the U.S. Capitol.  You really must click to enlarge!

Included are, above from left, NWHM president Joan Wages, Secretary Madeleine Albright (the nation's first female Secretary of State), U.S. Senator Susan Collins (R-ME), U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD), Barbara Bush, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney,  Patricia Nixon Cox, Dr. Maya Angelou, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, and Streep.
