I was quite taken with Jaume Plensa's Crown Fountain in Chicago's Millennium Park. Public art is really my favorite, and this is an engaging, transformative piece. You can't really be around it and not be mesmerized--transported--for a moment or two, and that is the magic in good public art. Read more on it here - this is only one half of it!
